  • Contact information:name, email address, phone number and message content when you submit an enquiry via our contact form or email us directly.
  • Usage data:pages visited, time spent on site, browser type and referring URL, collected via cookies and analytics tools.
  • Project information:details about your property and requirements that you share with us during a consultation or design visit.
  • Newsletter requests:your email address, optional name, the page and form you used, the time we received your request and the consent wording you agreed to.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide a quote or consultation
  • Arrange and carry out design consultations and project work
  • Send you project updates and communicate about your order
  • Improve our website and services

We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing and will not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

If you choose to receive our marketing emails, your website sign-up is emailed to our team for manual processing. We use your consent to send occasional media wall inspiration, project updates and marketing emails. Newsletter requests are separate from quotation enquiries and do not automatically create a sales lead. We may manually add your details to our mailing list in Brevo.

You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails or by emailing info@lvcarpentryandtradesmen.co.uk.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

5. Cookies

We use Google Analytics only when you select Accept Analytics in our cookie notice. It helps us understand which pages are visited and which website actions lead to an enquiry, including form submissions, telephone clicks and WhatsApp clicks. If you reject analytics, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser so we can remember it.

6. Data Retention

We retain enquiry and customer data for up to 6 years after the completion of a project, in line with our legal and tax obligations. Data from enquiries that did not result in a project is deleted after 12 months.

We keep newsletter details while you remain subscribed and review whether they are still needed. If you unsubscribe, we stop marketing to you and retain only the records needed to respect your preference and demonstrate how consent was obtained or withdrawn.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict how we process your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the legal basis)

We may use the following third party services to operate our website and business:

  • Google Analytics:anonymous website usage data (Google LLC, USA)
  • Cloudflare:website hosting and protection against abusive form submissions.
  • Resend:delivery of website form notifications to our business inbox.
  • Brevo:mailing list management and marketing email delivery after our team adds subscribers manually.

Where data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
